Recruiting — Selectemp maintains a large database of qualified employees and we hire only the best candidates. We draw on the resources of our offices across Oregon to find the best candidate for your needs.
Qualification Assessment — All of our candidates go through a rigorous, in-depth screening process before we agree to represent them. They provide us with a five-year verifiable employment history and a minimum of two work references, who are thoroughly reviewed. Our staffing managers conduct interviews with each qualified applicant to determine their skill level, qualifications, interests, and goals. We can conduct drug screens, motor vehicle record, and criminal background checks upon request.
Matching and Placement — Selectemp uses the latest technology to identify the candidates most qualified for specific job requests. Our system expedites the placement process, ensuring our employees are the most qualified candidates for each position. We’re able to search through thousands of candidates by job title and/or skill set. Our process ensures efficiency and reliability while maintaining accurate records.
Skill Testing — Using a variety of skill-assessment tools, we determine a candidate’s suitability for each job. Available assessments include: written welding test, spelling, math, and comprehensive clerical and computer application testing modules. Customized assessments may also be developed in unique cases.
Employee Communication — We make regular contact with our employees once they start working. We also interact with employees when they pick up their weekly checks. We seek opportunities for accolades, encouragement, evaluations, counseling, and coaching. Candidates who are not currently on assignment are called weekly to assess their availability, and any additional skills and/or experience they may have acquired.
Rewarding Performance — Client recommendations, attitude, and job performance are key factors in determining employee rewards, which include (but are not limited to) on-site recognition, Employee of the Month program, and monthly Employee Appreciation drawings.
